Who Can Apply?
To qualify for Soochow University scholarships, applicants must meet the following requirements:
General Eligibility
- Be a non-Chinese citizen in good health with a valid passport.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree for master’s programs (preferably under 35 years old).
- Hold a master’s degree for doctoral programs (preferably under 40 years old).
- Should not currently hold another government scholarship in China.
Academic and Language Requirements
- For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 5 with a score of 180 or higher.
- For English-taught programs: TOEFL (≥80), IELTS (≥6.0), or equivalent proof of proficiency.
