Yobe State University, Damaturu, has announced the appointment of Bukar Jamri as its acting Vice Chancellor (VC). This decision was made by the institution’s governing council during an extraordinary meeting held on Wednesday.
According to Uwani-Mamuda, the university’s Director of Information, Mr. Jamri’s appointment will take effect from February 13, following the completion of Mala Daura’s tenure as Vice Chancellor.
Additionally, the council approved the appointment of Garba Girgir as the acting Registrar, effective January 15.
Before his new role, Mr. Jamri served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration at the university, bringing extensive experience to his new position.
These appointments reflect the university’s commitment to strong and dynamic leadership as it enters a new chapter.
