LAUTECH continues to build international collaborations with institutions such as the University of Kentucky and University of Utah in the United States, as well as the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and Bayer Foundation in Germany. These partnerships have led to the establishment of a Humboldt Research Hub for infectious disease studies on campus.

The university’s reputation is on the rise. In the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, LAUTECH maintained its spot as the best state university in Nigeria. It also ranked second nationally and within the 251–300 bracket globally in the Interdisciplinary Science Ranking (ISR).

Prof. Kalilu concluded with a passionate vision for LAUTECH’s future:

“Our vision is to be among the top 100 universities globally. This is a tall ambition, but it is possible. To get there, we must expand our infrastructure, modernize our teaching and research methods, and attract more international staff and students. We appeal to all stakeholders to support the LAUTECH project.”
