A fire broke out on Thursday at the Northwest University City Campus in Kano, engulfing the 9th floor of the building and damaging several academic offices.
According to reports, the fire was sparked by an electrical fault in the afternoon, quickly spreading through the affected area. Firefighters from both the Kano State Fire Service and the Federal Fire Service responded promptly, successfully containing the flames before they could spread to other parts of the building.
Among the affected offices were those belonging to the Head of Department (HOD) and several lecturers in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department.
