Daniella Okamgba, a 2024 Law graduate of Babcock University, has emerged as a standout student at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja. She graduated with a first-class degree and five prestigious awards for academic excellence at the 2025 Call to Bar ceremony held in Abuja, FCT.
The awards include:
- Justice Olujide Shomolu Award for Best Student in Civil Litigation
- Mr. D. D. Dodo OFR SAN Award for Best Female Student in Civil Litigation
- Hon. Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar GCON Award for Best Female Student in Civil Litigation
- Chief T.O.S Benson OFR SAN Award for Best Student of the Year (3rd Prize)
- Prize for 1st Class Student
This year’s ceremony marked a historic milestone, with 5,728 new lawyers being called to the bar – the highest number in Nigeria’s legal history. Nigerian Body of Benchers and the Law School organized the event.
Babcock University’s President / Vice Chancellor, Prof Ademola Tayo expressed pride in Daniella’s achievement, describing it as “great and news worthy.”
