The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN), has opened admission into its Human Physiology and Human Anatomy programmes after getting approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The approval is dated October 21, 2026.
It follows the commission’s recent approval of three other programmes for the university: Artificial Intelligence, Telecommunication Science, and Tourism and Hospitality Management. With these, FUTES-IYIN now offers 40 programmes.
Both new programmes are housed in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
Applications opened on Thursday, October 22, and will close on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
To be eligible, candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026. They must also have sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored at least 160.
Applicants must have chosen English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the UTME. They also need O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Candidates who want to change their institution of choice to FUTES-IYIN must do so through the JAMB website.
Those whose details do not appear on the university portal as first-choice candidates, but who want to make FUTES-IYIN their first choice, can apply using the “OTHER” choice option on the portal.
They must, however, complete the change of institution on JAMB CAPS before the registration deadline.
Interested candidates can find the registration guidelines and apply at https://portal.futes.edu.ng/apply.
The announcement was made by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Femi Esan.
