The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) Registration will not close on Monday, April 7, 2025, as previously expected. The registration, which started on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, will remain open until further notice.
In a statement released on Saturday by Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communication Advisor for JAMB, the board clarified that the registration will continue until a new closing date is set. “Therefore, candidates who wish to register can do so at any of the Board’s designated Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) on Monday and continuing until the official closing date is revealed,” the statement read.
The decision to extend the registration period is aimed at allowing JAMB to complete ongoing investigations into candidates suspected of submitting fraudulent A-Level results for registration. The Board has strongly advised candidates with questionable credentials to avoid participating in the registration process. JAMB has put in place measures to detect fraudulent qualifications now and in the future.
“If you have previously used fraudulent results, we urge you to withdraw voluntarily, as the Board is expanding its investigations to include students who have already been admitted,” the statement warned.
