Adedeji Undergraduate Scholarship 2027: Tuition and Accommodation Support for UI Students

Applications are now open for the 2027 Adedeji Undergraduate Scholarship Program for students at the University of Ibadan. The scholarship supports students who are not only focused on academic excellence, but are also exploring other meaningful interests in areas such as entrepreneurship, arts, public service, community work and other fields outside their main course of study.

The programme is designed for students who are curious, passionate and willing to build a unique path beyond the classroom.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Full tuition and accommodation fees for one academic session
  • Opportunity for renewal for one extra academic session, based on exceptional performance
  • Acceptance into the one-year ASP Scholars Fellowship

Eligibility Requirements

The 2027 Adedeji Undergraduate Scholarship is open to currently enrolled 100 to 300 level students at the University of Ibadan.

Applicants must be from the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences or Arts.

They must also show evidence of meaningful enrichment activities within or outside campus. This may include volunteering, creative projects, entrepreneurship, leadership, public service, community work or other activities that show curiosity and commitment beyond academics.

There is no compulsory minimum GPA requirement. However, a stronger academic record can improve your chances.

Applications will be reviewed holistically.

Applicants will be required to submit:

  • Completed application form
  • Official transcript showing current GPA
  • Original JAMB result slip for current 100 level students
  • Personal essay of not more than 250 words
  • Supporting evidence to strengthen the application

Personal Essay Prompt

Applicants are to answer the following prompt in not more than 250 words:

Share how your curiosity, passion, or interests have led you to pursue meaningful endeavors that may or may not align directly with your course of study. How do you plan to use that perspective in shaping your path after your studies, and what role do you see your current education playing in that journey?

The application deadline is July 30, 2026, by 11:59pm WAT.
