If you are a Nigerian undergraduate looking for financial support to ease your university education, this is one opportunity you do not want to miss. The Renaissance African Energy Company Limited, operator of the NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR Joint Venture, has opened applications for the 2026 NNPC-Renaissance JV University Scholarship.
The scholarship is designed to promote academic excellence among young Nigerians and offers a yearly educational grant to successful applicants for the entire duration of their undergraduate programme.
Who Can Apply
The scholarship runs in two categories. The first is the National Merit Award, which is open to all Nigerians. The second is the Areas of Operation Merit Award, which is specifically for indigenes of Renaissance’s operational areas in Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States.
To be eligible, you must be a Nigerian citizen currently registered as a full-time undergraduate in an accredited Nigerian university. You must also be in 200 Level with proof of admission into an undergraduate programme for the 2024/2025 academic session. Importantly, you must not be receiving any other scholarship from any entity operating in the oil and gas industry, whether local or international.
Documents You Will Need
Before starting your application, ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents ready for upload:
- A recent passport photograph with a white background (not more than three months old, sized 450px by 450px)
- Your school ID card
- Your university or JAMB admission letter
- Your JAMB result
- Your 2024/2025 transcript (100 Level result), and
- a letter of identification from your state showing your Local Government of Origin.
Each document must not exceed 200KB and must be saved in JPEG format. Make sure each file is named clearly to avoid any mix-up during upload.
How to Apply
All applications are processed online. Visit the application portal at candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/NNPCRENAISSANCEJV2026 to get started. You will need to register with a valid personal email address, activate your account, and then fill in your personal, educational, and bank account information before uploading your documents.
Make sure the name you use in your application matches the names on all your documents in the exact same order. After uploading, review everything carefully before submitting. Once your application is successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation via both email and SMS.
Applicants going for the Operational Area Award will also need to provide letters of identification stamped and signed by the Paramount Ruler of their community and the Chairman of the Community Development Committee or Community Executive Council. These letters should be addressed to the Manager, Social Performance, Renaissance African Energy Company Limited, Industrial Area, Rumubiakani, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
It is worth noting that Renaissance and its Joint Venture partners do not charge any fees or assign agents to assist applicants. The application is completely free, and you should only apply through the official website.
