OGITECH Makes History With First-Ever Sign-Out Celebration as Tradition Begins

Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, has made history by hosting its first-ever official sign-out celebration for graduating students.

The colourful event was held for the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Class of 2026.

It brought together graduating students, management, academic staff, and student leaders.

The Rector, Dr Abiodun Oluseye, described the event as a landmark initiative.

He said it reflects the institution’s commitment to providing students with a balanced educational experience.

According to the Rector, academic excellence goes beyond classroom lectures and examinations.

Students also benefit from healthy social engagement and meaningful extracurricular activities.

Dr Oluseye announced that the official sign-out celebration would become an annual tradition at OGITECH.

He commended the graduating students for their maturity, discipline, and orderly conduct.

The Rector also offered prayers for them, wishing them success in their careers and future endeavours.

The event took place on the lawn in front of the Prince Dapo Abiodun Administrative Block.

Departments proudly displayed customized banners featuring members of the graduating Class of 2026.

Principal officers of the institution attended the celebration.

One major highlight was the presentation of a legacy project by the Students’ Union Government.

Led by Comrade Ilo Fadilu, the SUG donated five new lecterns to the Polytechnic.

The donation was their contribution toward improving teaching and learning facilities.

The successful hosting of the inaugural ceremony underscores OGITECH’s commitment to celebrating student achievements.
