President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr Isiaka Tunji Adelabu as the substantive Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State.
The institution’s acting Director of CICPR, Mr Sunday Adepoju, disclosed this on Tuesday.
The appointment was approved by the President and took effect from August 5, 2026.
Dr Adelabu was previously a Chartered Accountant and Chief Lecturer at the Department of Accountancy at Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State.
He served the institution in various administrative capacities, including Head of Department, Dean of School and Deputy Rector (Administration).
The Registrar noted that his wealth of experience, academic contributions and administrative competence would add significant value to the growth of Federal Polytechnic Ayede.
Dr Adelabu becomes the second substantive Rector of the institution.
The Registrar, on behalf of the management, staff and students, called for maximum support and cooperation for the new Rector.
The announcement also conveyed the goodwill of the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students to Dr Adelabu.
