Oilserv Group has opened applications for its 2027 Ingenious Graduate Trainee Programme, a two-year structured development initiative for ambitious young graduates.
The programme is designed to identify, nurture and transform exceptional graduates into industry-ready professionals within the oil and gas sector.
It is open to candidates and will be based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with potential exposure to the company’s international operations.
The programme runs in two phases.
The first phase is a six-month rotational development period, during which trainees rotate across multiple business functions and departments to gain a broad understanding of the company’s operations, culture and value chain.
The second phase is an 18-month specialised development period, during which trainees are assigned to a specific discipline aligned with their strengths and career interests for intensive technical and professional development.
Throughout the programme, trainees will engage in hands-on projects, mentorship and real-world problem-solving.
Key responsibilities during the programme include:
- Participating actively in all rotational assignments across designated departments
- Supporting project teams in the planning, execution and delivery of oilfield service operations
- Conducting research, data analysis and reporting to support business decisions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve real-world operational challenges
- Attending and completing all required training sessions, workshops and assessments
- Adhering to the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards
- Contributing innovative ideas and solutions to improve processes and service delivery
- Preparing and presenting progress reports to the HRBP and Functioning Line Manager
The programme offers trainees structured mentorship and coaching from industry professionals, hands-on exposure to world-class oilfield service operations, a competitive remuneration and benefits package, and the opportunity for full-time employment upon successful completion.
Trainees will also gain access to a network of professionals across Oilserv’s multinational operations.
Eligibility requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Petroleum, Civil, Pipeline, Piping, Process), Accounting, Technical Safety, ESG, or other relevant disciplines from a recognised institution
- A minimum of Second-Class Lower (2:2)
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme
- Must be team-oriented with a passion for learning and professional growth
- No prior full-time work experience is required
