The program focuses on avian mortality and disease outbreaks, especially botulism, in the Great Salt Lake ecosystem of Utah. As part of a multidisciplinary research team, the selected student will play a lead role in studying past patterns of bird deaths and contribute to a broader research effort aimed at preventing future outbreaks.
This role primarily involves data analysis and management, but there’s also room for fieldwork, depending on the needs of the project. The student will work closely with scientists, government agencies, and local conservation groups.

Who Should Apply?
