The newly elected President of the Adekunle Ajasin University Students’ Union (AAUASU), Folagbade Greatness Ayoola, has wasted no time in setting up his administration, appointing about 40 aides and special advisers just days after assuming office.
A memo issued from the Office of the Students’ Union President and obtained on Wednesday confirmed the appointments, which covered a wide range of positions including Chief of Staff, personal assistants, directors, and special advisers.
According to the memo, the appointments were made “to ensure top-notch administration and proper effectiveness of the AAUASU presidency,” with all appointees said to have been “screened and deemed fit to perform well in these responsibilities.”
Olayinka Oluwaferanmi Emmanuel was named Chief of Staff, while Oluwafemi Olalekan Israel was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff.
Other key appointments include Omotunwase Success Ayomide as Senior Personal Assistant to the President, Obagaye Micheal as Personal Assistant II, Olaleye Kausara as Secretary to the President, and Ajileye Henry Olawale as Chief Press Secretary.
The administration also created several directorate positions covering Protocol, Media and Publicity, Travels and Exchange, Gender, Photography and Videography, and Housing, Agents and Accommodations.
A large number of special adviser roles were also announced, spanning Strategy, Academic Affairs, Logistics, Health Services, Social Media Engagements, Sports and Recreation, Campus Transportation, Law and Constitutional Matters, Budgeting and Finance, Students’ Welfare, Security Affairs, Islamic Affairs, Christian and Spiritual Matters, Fundraising and Sponsorships, and several others.
On the security side, Ayoola announced the appointment of an ADC 1 (IPCC), while the positions of ADC 2 (Man O War) and ADC 3 (Cadet Corps) are yet to be filled.
