The David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences (DUFUHS), Uturu, Ebonyi State, has announced the commencement of the sale of admission forms for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The application is open to qualified candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate programmes across health sciences, medicine, engineering, and related disciplines.
Available programmes include Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Pharmacy (Pharm. D), Nursing Science (B.NSc.), Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS), Physiotherapy (DPT), Radiography and Radiation Science, Optometry, Dentistry, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Public Health, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as several biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics-related courses.
Other programmes offered include Industrial and Medical Physics, Industrial and Medicinal Chemistry, Industrial Mathematics and Health Statistics, Biology/Biotechnology, Microbiology/Parasitology, and related fields.
Admission Requirements
- To be eligible for admission, candidates must select DUFUHS as their first choice in JAMB and possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in WAEC, NECO, or equivalent examinations.
- Applicants are also required to have a minimum JAMB score of 150 and above for the 2026 UTME.
- Candidates who did not initially select the university but meet the required score can apply for a change of institution on the JAMB portal and make DUFUHS their first choice before proceeding with the application.
- Applicants who did not sit for JAMB can also apply through the university’s Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme. The IJMB pathway runs for one academic year, after which successful candidates can gain direct entry into 200 level without writing JAMB.
The university has fixed the closing date for application at 4:00pm on August 30, 2026.
Application Process
Interested candidates are to visit the official websites www.dufuhs.edu.ng or www.kdums.edu.ng, select the undergraduate application portal, and follow the instructions to complete their registration for either UTME or IJMB admission.
Applicants are required to make a payment of N10,000 only via the Remita platform before completing the application process.
