About the Role
This internship provides an opportunity to work with the DBT team to foster trade and investment between the UK and Nigeria. You’ll play a key role in supporting UK exporters and investors across priority sectors while developing your skills in research, event planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analyze market trends to support business opportunities.
- Help organize impactful events to promote UK businesses in Nigeria.
- Build and manage a network of stakeholders for DBT initiatives.
- Assist UK companies in identifying and pursuing commercial opportunities in Nigeria.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve the High Commission’s core values of Honesty, Professionalism, Inclusion, and Respect.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong research and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a relevant undergraduate program (e.g., International Relations, Business Administration, or Economics).
- 1-2 years of experience in a business, administrative, or support role.
Desirable skills include business/sales experience, market research knowledge, and a background in customer service.
