The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has officially approved six academic programs for the newly established Federal Polytechnic, Isuochi, in Abia State. This approval marks a significant milestone as the institution prepares to open its doors to students.
In two letters addressed to the Rector on January 14, 2025, and signed by Mrs. Fatima Kabir Umar on behalf of the NBTE Executive Secretary, the Board granted both institutional and administrative clearance for academic activities to begin.
The decision followed a resource inspection visit by NBTE officials, which took place from January 7 to 10, 2025.
Federal Polytechnic Isuochi is set to launch its academic journey with six National Diploma (ND) programs, including:
- Computer Engineering Technology
- Statistics
- Science Laboratory Technology
- Computer Science
- Accountancy
- Business Administration and Management
This approval underscores the institution’s readiness to provide quality education and contribute to technological and professional development in Nigeria.
