Federal Polytechnic Offa (Fedpoffa), Kwara State, is gearing up to host the 22nd edition of the Nigeria Polytechnic Games Association (NIPOGA) this April. As anticipation builds, the National Association of Strategic Communication and Media Students (NASCOMS) from the Department of Strategic Communication and Media Studies has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Rector, Dr. Kadiri Kamoru; the Dean of the School of Communication and Media Studies, Dr. David Oloyede; and the Head of Department, Dr. Jimoh Olorede, for securing the hosting rights.
In a statement released by the NASCOMS Public Relations Officer, Mercy Jayeola, and jointly signed by Leader Isaac Komolafe and Secretary Tominwa Oloyede, the student body described the event as a significant milestone that reflects the remarkable progress under Dr. Kadiri’s leadership.
“Hosting over 50 participating higher institutions across the nation shows the upcoming sporting event is an epoch that would further showcase Dr. Kadiri’s exploits as well as his administration’s milestone since his assumption of office as Rector of the Polytechnic,” the statement read.
The students praised the administration’s high level of preparedness, calling it “applaudable,” and expressed optimism that the event would provide a stage for students to discover, express, and celebrate their athletic talents.
They further acknowledged the role of NIPOGA in promoting unity, sportsmanship, and friendship among polytechnic students nationwide. According to the statement, “NIPOGA games are designed to promote unity, friendship, and healthy competition among polytechnic students, while also providing a platform for the discovery of new talents and the development of sports in Nigeria.”
As the polytechnic prepares to welcome athletes in football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, and more, the student body prayed for a successful and hitch-free event, with the best institutions rising to the top in a spirited chase for medals and trophies.
The Students Forum Nigeria serves as the ultimate hub for Nigerian students, fostering academic growth, social engagement, and knowledge sharing.
