Fully Funded PhD. in Computer Science at VinUniversity: Apply Now

VinUniversity in Vietnam is now accepting applications for its PhD. in Computer Science program, offering a fully funded scholarship for the 2025–2026 academic year. This prestigious opportunity covers full tuition, a generous monthly stipend, and access to state-of-the-art research facilities, making it an excellent choice for aspiring researchers.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of up to 20,000,000 VND alongside tuition coverage. The program spans three to four years, during which students will engage in groundbreaking research under the guidance of top-tier faculty.

In addition, Ph.D. students can apply for the Vingroup 1,100 Scholarship Program, allowing them to conduct research at one of VinUniversity’s global partner institutions for up to two years. This scholarship includes tuition, living expenses, health insurance, airfare, and other associated costs. Students will be mentored by world-renowned professors, ranked among the top 2% of the most cited researchers globally, and will collaborate with faculty from leading international universities.

Eligibility and Application Process

To qualify, applicants must have a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Computer Science or a related field. Research experience, demonstrated through a research-oriented thesis, scientific publications, or at least two years of academic work, is required. A draft research proposal and a structured study plan are also necessary.

Candidates must meet English proficiency requirements, with an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher (or an equivalent certification obtained within two years). Those with a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 at the time of admission may still be considered if they can achieve the required 6.5 within a year of enrollment.

Application Deadline

The first-round application deadline is April 30, 2025. The deadline for the second round will be announced after the first round concludes. Interview results will be communicated within a month of submission, and the program will commence on a rolling basis.
