Nigerian students aiming to study in the UK can now apply for the University of Birmingham’s £5,000 Africa Undergraduate Scholarship for 2025. This prestigious award supports talented students from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa who are applying for full-time undergraduate programs at the university’s UK campus starting in September 2025.

The University is offering 15 scholarships, each worth £5,000, to be applied to the first-year tuition fees.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Hold an offer for a full-time undergraduate program at the University of Birmingham starting in September 2025.
- Select Birmingham as their firm choice.
- Fulfill all academic conditions of their offer.
- Be domiciled in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or South Africa.
- Be classified as an overseas fee-paying student.
- Have sufficient funds to cover living expenses, travel, and visa costs.
- Start studies in September 2025 – the scholarship cannot be deferred.
- Apply through one of the University’s approved local representatives.
- Submit the scholarship application via these representatives by 27 June 2025.
- Pay any outstanding tuition fees by 1 November 2025, after enrolment.
