Tony Blair Institute 2025 Internship for Nigerian Graduates: A 10-Week Opportunity to Drive Change

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is excited to announce its 2025 Associate Internship Programme, a unique 10-week opportunity for Nigerian graduates to gain hands-on experience in political advisory work. The programme, set to begin in June 2025, is open to exceptional candidates passionate about governance and creating positive change through collaboration with governments in West Africa.

Interns will work closely with teams across Anglophone/Francophone West Africa, including Nigeria, contributing to various innovative projects within the Institute’s growing portfolio. You’ll have the chance to develop research, deliver impactful analysis, and work on strategies that help political leaders across different levels of government.

Throughout the internship, you will receive mentorship, gain a deep understanding of the work at TBI, and be part of a team making a global impact. Your experience will give you the tools to pursue a career in political change-making and governance.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The internship is open to students in their second or third year of undergraduate studies.
  • TBI is looking for candidates with a passion for governance, strategy, and political change.
  • Ideal applicants should be entrepreneurial self-starters, skilled at research, analysis, and communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
  • You must be legally resident in and able to work within one of the following countries: Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Kenya (Nairobi), Senegal, The Gambia, Nigeria (Abuja), or Zanzibar.
  • The applicant should be prepared to cover accommodation and boarding costs.
