JAMB has officially commenced the 2026 change of course and institution exercise, giving candidates the opportunity to update their choices before the admissions process advances further.
Candidates who wish to make changes can do so at any JAMB-accredited CBT centre or visit a JAMB office directly.
However, before heading out, it is important to note that the process attracts a mandatory fee of N2,500, plus a CBT service charge that typically ranges from N700 to N1,000 depending on the centre.
Candidates can also use this opportunity to correct their bio-data if there are any errors in their registration details.
JAMB has advised candidates to be certain they genuinely need a change before proceeding, as the process involves payment and cannot be reversed casually.
Here is how to go about it. Walk into any JAMB-approved CBT centre with your registration slip and inform the officer that you want to perform a change of institution or change of course. Make the required payment, then provide your new choices, which can cover your first, second, third, or fourth institution or course preference.
You will be required to thumbprint for biometric verification to authorise the change. Once done, ensure you collect your Change of Data Slip as proof of the transaction.
Candidates are strongly advised to use only accredited centres and avoid any individual or unofficial agent promising to process the change outside approved channels.
