The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has explained three reasons candidates may not find their names on the matriculation list.
The board shared this in an explainer video posted on its official X handle on Friday.
JAMB said one of the reasons was failure to accept admission on the Central Admissions Processing System.
“Number one is the most common, while number three is the most important. You have not accepted your admission on JAMB CAPS or your admission status reads not admitted,” the board said.
It advised candidates whose admission status reads “not admitted” to return to their institutions to have their admissions processed.
“If it reads not admitted, return to your institution to process your admission,” JAMB stated.
The board also explained that some candidates might not appear because their institutions had yet to forward their verified matriculation details.
“Your institution admission office has not forwarded your verified matriculation details to JAMB,” it said.
JAMB urged affected candidates to contact their institutions to process their admissions on CAPS.
The board also identified failure to print the JAMB original result slip and admission letter as another reason.
“You have not printed your JAMB original results slip and admission letter,” the board said.
It advised such candidates to visit the nearest JAMB office or an approved CBT centre to have the documents printed.
“So visit the nearest JAMB office or approved CBT centre and get it printed,” the board advised.
