Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, has established a third Deputy Vice-Chancellor position.
The university also restructured its existing DVC offices to strengthen institutional leadership.
The decision followed approval from the University Senate.
The new roles include Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Innovation; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management and Operations; and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development and Partnerships.
The two existing DVC portfolios were redesignated to reflect the institution’s evolving priorities.
The Registrar, Mrs Olayinka Balogun, said the restructuring aimed to align with LAUTECH’s vision of promoting excellence in teaching, research, and global collaboration.
“The new roles will provide focused leadership in critical areas, ensuring that the university remains competitive and responsive to the demands of modern higher education,” she said.
“This initiative reflects the university’s dedication to building a dynamic governance structure that supports innovation, operational effectiveness, and sustainable partnerships,” Balogun added.
At its meeting on Monday, August 3, 2026, the governing council approved the election of the new DVCs.
Prof Dahud Araromi was elected as DVC, Academic and Innovation.
Prof Adepoju Ogunkunle was elected as DVC, Management and Operations.
Prof Lukman Sunmonu was elected as DVC, Development and Partnerships.
