The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has released its Orientation and ICT Training schedule for students admitted into the 2026/2027 academic session.
The five day programme runs from September 14 to September 18, 2026.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Ag. Head, Directorate of Public Relations, Mr Olasunkanmi Olajide.
He said the programme is designed to give fresh students the essential information needed for a smooth transition into university life, while familiarising them with the university’s academic and administrative structures, rules, facilities and support services.
According to him, the first two days, Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15, will bring together newly admitted students from all colleges at the Prof. Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building.
This covers students from COLANIM, COLAMRUD, COLBIOS, COLCOMPS, COLENDS, COLENG, COLFHEC, COLPHYS, COLERM, COLPLANT and COLVET, running from 8am to 4pm on both days.
Olajide said the programme continues on Wednesday, September 16, from 8am to 1pm, for students from COLAMRUD, COLENDS, COLENG and COLPHYS, at the same venue.
Students from COLANIM, COLBIOS, COLFHEC and COLVET are scheduled for Thursday, September 17, within the same time frame and venue.
Orientation will round off on Friday, September 18, from 8am to 1pm, for students from COLCOMPS, COLERM and COLPLANT, also at the Ceremonial Building.
On the ICT component, Olajide explained that the training is aimed at equipping fresh students with the digital skills and tools needed for academic activities and other university processes.
He said students from COLCOMPS, COLERM and COLPLANT will have their ICT Training on Wednesday, September 16, from 9am to 1pm, at the Prof. Olusola Oyewole Lecture Theatre.
Students from COLAMRUD, COLENDS, COLENG and COLPHYS are scheduled for Thursday, September 17, within the same time frame and venue.
Students from COLANIM, COLBIOS, COLFHEC and COLVET will round off the ICT Training on Friday, September 18, from 9am to 1pm, at the same venue.
Olajide urged all newly admitted students to take note of their respective schedules and participate fully in the programme.
He stressed that the Orientation and ICT Training would provide new students with the foundational knowledge, institutional awareness and digital competencies needed for a successful academic experience at FUNAAB.
