The University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu is now accepting applications for the 2025/2026 session of its Post Basic Nursing Training Programme in Anaesthesia.
This intensive 18-month course is designed for qualified nurses seeking advanced training in anaesthetic nursing care. If you’re a nurse looking to take your career to the next level, this is a great opportunity.
To be eligible, applicants must:

Be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current practising license.

Have at least two years of post-qualification experience—preferably in the intensive care unit or theatre.

Hold a WASSCE or GCE O’Level certificate with credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Interested candidates can apply online via the UNTH portal at www.unthportal.org from March 3 to August 4, 2025. Completed forms should be submitted to the Post Basic Nurse Anaesthetist Programme, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, with stamped envelopes to ensure delivery by the closing date.
The entrance examination and interview will hold from August 5 to August 8, 2025. Applicants are advised to make their own accommodation arrangements for the examination period.
