2025 Federal Government Scholarship Award for Undergraduate & Postgraduate Students

The Federal Ministry of Education has opened applications for the 2024/2025 Nigerian Scholarship Award (NSA) and Education Bursary Award (EBA). This opportunity is for eligible Nigerian students enrolled in public tertiary institutions across the country.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive annual financial support based on their level of study:

  • Undergraduate Students – ₦250,000
  • Postgraduate Students – ₦300,000
  • HND Students – ₦150,000
  • NCE Students – ₦150,000

These funds aim to support students through the academic year and ease the financial burden of education.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

For Postgraduate Applicants:

  • Must hold at least a Second Class Upper (2:1) in their first degree.
  • Must be enrolled full-time in a Federal or State University.

For Undergraduate & HND Applicants:

  • Must be full-time students in their second year or above.
  • Eligible institutions include Federal and State Universities, Polytechnics, and Monotechnics.
  • Undergraduate applicants (including those with disabilities) must have a CGPA of 4.0 or above on a 5.0 scale (or 5.0 on a 7.0 scale).
  • HND applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Important Notes

  • Scholarships are valid only within Nigeria and take effect from the start of the academic session.
  • The award cannot be combined with another scholarship or bursary.
  • Beneficiaries are not allowed to change their course or institution during the period of the award.
  • Part-time students are not eligible.

Documents Required

To apply, you’ll need to upload the following:

  • Admission Letter from your institution
  • Current CGPA result
  • Certificate of State of Origin

All applications must be submitted on or before May 29, 2025.
