He congratulated them on behalf of the Senate, Council, Management and the entire university community, describing them as worthy ambassadors of the institution.
He urged the graduates to sustain their academic excellence and remain connected to their alma mater.
He said obtaining first class honours should be seen as a means to greater accomplishments rather than an end in itself.
Egbewole encouraged them to build on their success and make meaningful contributions to the legal profession and society.
He also urged them to become mentors to younger students, stressing that their performance could inspire others to strive for similar excellence.
Speaking earlier, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Bashir Adeniyi Omipidan, described the achievement as unprecedented in the university’s history.
He noted that UNILORIN produced the overall best, second overall best and fifth best students in the examination.
Omipidan said the feat reflects the quality of training provided by the Faculty of Law and the determination of the graduates to excel.
Thirteen of the graduates joined the meeting online, while three, Boluwatife Oni-Kayode, Kamaldeen Akanni Olatunde and Oba Rahmat Aduke, were physically present.
Responding on behalf of the graduates who joined virtually, Mr Adeniyi Israel appreciated the Vice Chancellor and university management for the reception, describing it as a rare privilege.
Mr Kamaldeen Akanni Olatunde, who was physically present, described the reception as an honour.
Reflecting on his experience at the Law School, Kamaldeen, who served as Chief Justice of the Students’ Union, said the journey was challenging but became more manageable through the support and camaraderie among the students.
He said many of the graduates stayed together during their time at the Law School, helping one another through the demanding academic journey.
He noted that the solid academic foundation they received at UNILORIN made the challenges at the Law School easier to handle, adding that their lecturers adequately prepared them for what lay ahead.
