Federal University Gashua (FUGASHUA) has announced November 16, 2026, as the resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The notice was contained in an internal memo dated October 21, 2026, issued by the Registrar, Dr. Abubakar Mamuda, to all staff and students.

According to the memo, the Vice-Chancellor has approved the commencement of academic activities on Monday, November 16.
Returning students are to begin registration on the same day. Lectures for them will start on Monday, November 23, 2026.
For new students, registration and lectures will both begin on December 7, 2026.
The university advised all staff and students to take note of the dates and comply accordingly.
