The University of Siena is opening its doors to bright international students through its 2025 International Excellence Scholarships. These scholarships aim to attract top talent from around the world to enroll in select Master’s programs offered entirely in English.

Who Can Apply?
This opportunity is open to international students who:
- Hold a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree that qualifies for a Master’s (Laurea Magistrale) in Italy.
- Are not Italian citizens (except dual citizens).
- Do not reside in Italy.
- Have applied to one or two eligible Master’s programs via the University of Siena application portal.
Available Programs and Scholarship Distribution
Each scholarship is tied to specific fields. Here’s a quick breakdown:
One scholarship per area:
- Economics and Law
- Economics, Finance, International Accounting and Management
- Political, International, Social, and Cognitive Sciences
- Language and Mind: Linguistics and Cognitive Studies, Public and Cultural Diplomacy, European Studies
- Biomedical and Medical Sciences
- Biotechnologies of Human Reproduction, Medical Biotechnologies
Two scholarships available in:
- Math and Experimental Sciences
- Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence and Automation Engineering, Chemistry, Biodiversity and Environmental Quality, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Engineering Management, Sustainable Industrial Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
Scholarship Value
Each scholarship is worth €6,000 per year (gross) and is renewable for a second year, giving recipients a total of €12,000 for their studies.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- A 1-minute video explaining their motivation for applying.
- The names of the Master’s program(s) they are applying for.
