Abdullahi Idris Garba, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Masheg federal constituency in Niger State, has condemned the increasing attacks on schools, warning that the trend poses a serious threat to Nigeria’s educational future.
Garba made the statement on Friday following the abduction of students from St. Mary’s School in Papari community, Agwara Local Government Area. He described the incident as senseless and unacceptable.
The lawmaker, who chairs the House Committee on Aviation, called the abduction a tragic setback and urged security agencies to act swiftly to locate and apprehend the perpetrators. He also expressed concern about the trauma the students may be facing and stressed the need for a coordinated security effort to ensure their safe rescue.

“On behalf of my family and constituents, I commiserate with the government and people of Niger State, especially the families of the abducted students, and assure you of my deep support and solidarity during this trying time,” Garba said.
He prayed for the safe return of the students and extended sincere sympathies to the affected families. Garba also encouraged communities to remain alert and work closely with security operatives in efforts to curb criminal activities.

The Students Forum Nigeria serves as the ultimate hub for Nigerian students, fostering academic growth, social engagement, and knowledge sharing.
