Position Overview
We are looking for an NYSC Intern to join our Brand & Communications team. In this role, you’ll support various initiatives aimed at enhancing our brand visibility, engaging our audience, and executing effective communication strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in public relations, media relations, and branding.
Key Responsibilities
Media Monitoring:
- Track news articles, blogs, and social media mentions of our brand.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly media monitoring reports.
Content Creation:
- Draft press releases, blog posts, and social media updates.
- Assist in developing multimedia content, including images and videos for campaigns.
Media Relations:
- Maintain and update media contact lists.
- Support the team in pitching stories and coordinating interviews or press conferences.
Outreach & Partnerships:
- Identify influencers, stakeholders, and potential collaborators.
- Assist in establishing partnerships and tracking their outcomes.
Event Support:
- Help organize and execute PR events, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Coordinate event logistics, invitations, and media coverage.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze PR and outreach performance metrics.
- Prepare reports on campaign effectiveness.
Research & Trends:
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
- Conduct research to better understand target audiences and demographics.
Administrative Support:
- Handle tasks like scheduling meetings, managing PR databases, and email correspondence.
Professional Growth:
- Take initiative to learn and develop professionally in public relations and outreach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and PR tools.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of media relations is an added advantage.
