They were chosen from over 600 applicants. Only 40 participants made the final list.

The programme supports promising early-stage innovations with mentorship, expert guidance and resources to help bring ideas to market.

Faruq Hameed is developing Kájọlọ, a peer-to-peer carpooling application built to meet the transportation needs of Nigerian urban commuters.

His selection gives him a chance to refine the innovation and move it closer to practical use.

Oluwadamilola Bolorunduro is the innovator behind CycleWise, which was also selected for the programme.

She will benefit from expert mentorship, industry guidance and other resources to develop her innovation further and improve its chances of market success.

The programme combines virtual learning with an in-person incubation component at the University of Lagos.

Participants will engage with experienced mentors, industry experts and fellow innovators, and receive practical guidance to help them commercialise their ideas.

Lead City University congratulated the two students and wished them continued progress.

The university also said it remains committed to encouraging innovation, nurturing entrepreneurial talent and supporting students as they turn promising ideas into meaningful solutions.
