JAMB Delists 4 CBT Centres, Arrests 27 for Exam Malpractice in Ongoing 2025 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has delisted four Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres from the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for failing to meet the required technical and ethical standards.

The affected centres are Adventure Associate, located behind Sheshe Supermarket, Off Hadejia Road, Kano; Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Zaria Road, Naibawa, Kano; and Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1 and Centre 2, both located at 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.

While commending the 883 centres that have maintained excellent standards, JAMB has warned that any centre found falling short—regardless of who owns it—will be immediately blacklisted. The board emphasized its commitment to a smooth and credible examination process.

Candidates who were earlier scheduled to write their exams at the delisted centres are urged to reprint their examination notification slips immediately to access their new examination centres and updated dates.

Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communication Advisor of JAMB, in a statement, said, “We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but we will not tolerate excuses by candidates who fail to reprint their slip to get their new schedules.”

As of Friday, April 25, 2025, over 900,000 candidates have successfully written the UTME out of a total of 2,083,600 registered candidates.

In a related development, 27 impersonators have been arrested and handed over to the Nigeria Police for immediate prosecution, in JAMB’s ongoing crackdown on examination malpractice.
